Farari Pizza

Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 1 cup Shayona Farari Flour
  • 1/4 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sindhav salt (rock salt)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • Water, as needed
  • Oil or ghee for greasing

For the Pizza Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup grated paneer/cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped green chilies (optional)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce (made from fasting-friendly ingredients)
  • Sindhav salt (rock salt) and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Farali flour, mashed potatoes, sindhav salt, black pepper (if using), and ghee.

  • Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Adjust the water or flour if needed to prevent it from being too sticky or dry.

  • Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C.

Prepare the Pizza Base

  • Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll into balls.

  • Place one dough ball on a greased, heatproof pizza tray or oven-safe plate. Press and flatten into a round pizza base with an even thickness.

  • Prick the base with a fork to prevent puffing during baking.

  • Lightly brush with ghee.

Bake the Pizza Base

  • Place in the preheated oven or cook on a stovetop pan with a lid.

  • Bake or cook on medium heat until the base is slightly crisp and golden brown.

Assemble the Pizza

  • Remove the pizza base from the oven or pan.

  • Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the base.

  • Add the vegetables on top.

  • Sprinkle grated paneer/cheese.

  • Season with sindhav salt and black pepper to taste.

Final Cooking

  • Return the pizza to the oven or stovetop pan.

  • Bake or cook for 8-10 minutes until the toppings are heated through and the paneer/cheese starts to melt.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from the heat.

  • Slice and serve hot.
