Prepare the Dough

  • Place the Shayona Whole Wheat Flour and oil in a bowl, gradually add water, and mix to form a soft dough.

  • Knead the dough well until smooth and elastic.

  • Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.

  • Roll out each ball into a flat circle approximately 12.5cm in diameter.

  • Heat a griddle (tawa) on a medium heat and place one roti on it.

  • Lightly roast both sides, then carefully place one side directly over the flame until it puffs up.

  • Remove from the heat and brush with ghee.

Serve

Serve fresh and warm with a curry or dal.

Cooking Time

Approximately 35-50 minutes, including preparation and cooking. It may take longer for larger batches.
